Natural, candid, emotive.

I’m a relaxed Bristol wedding videographer and photographer who loves to capture the joy of wedding days and put couples at ease with my friendly approach.

Fitting the vibe

The comment I get most from couples is how much I fitted in with their guests and the vibe of the day. I love to strike a balance between being friendly but not intrusive. After all, your special day is about celebrating with family and friends, not about having a photographer taking centre stage! Knowing when to make my couples laugh and when to let a moment be is my speciality.

Putting you at ease

My approach on the day is all about making sure you and your partner are comfortable and creating a relaxed environment in my work. I know how unpleasant it can be getting your photo taken - that’s why I stay behind the camera! With my approach getting your photos taken can even be fun!

Are we a good fit?

If you’d like beautiful candid and natural photos but also want to enjoy your day and forget there’s even a photographer there, then we’re probably a good fit!

Testimonials

“Jake is an absolutely brilliant photographer, he caught the spirit of our wedding perfectly, I couldn't be happier with our photos. He discussed what we wanted ahead of time and really got it: the shots are candid, relaxed, joyful and full of colour and movement.”

FAQs

What areas do you cover?

I’m mainly based in the South-West, but will happily cover weddings across the UK! Last year I captured a beautiful wedding up in Manchester and the next week was down in Southhampton.

How long do your couple photos take?

Normally before your wedding breakfast or speeches, we’ll head out to get some photos of just the two of you. We’ll be gone 10 to 15 minutes and that’ll be enough to capture lots of beautiful photos! I never want to take you for too long away from friends and family. But if you love the camera and can’t get enough, let’s go for longer - totally up to you!

Do you do group photos?

Of course! These are great way to absolutely make sure you capture your nearest and dearest. In terms of when to do them, I always suggest to couples that you have an hour after the ceremony to relax and enjoy a well earned a drink! After that and before the wedding breakfast is usually a great time.

How many photos will we get?

In my recommended package for a full day you’ll receive a minimum of 450 edited photos but often even more!

How do we receive our photos?

I deliver your full resolution edited photos in a beautiful online gallery which can be shared with family and friends. You can then download these photos and do with them whatever you’d like!

Do you deliver printed photos?

In the galleries I send to you, there’s an option to choose images for printing directly! Of course, if you’d rather download them and find another printing service that’s totally up to you.

What equipment do you use?

I use professional Sony cameras, flash equipment in a light-weight set up with a mix of prime and zoom lenses. My cameras save photos to two memory cards immediately, so your photos already have a back-up on the day!
